Continued from “What is ‘The Blessing of the Lord That Makes You Rich and He Adds No Sorrow to It’? II

Observe that the scripture says: “22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Prov. 10: 22.

Firstly, this blessing is of the Lord, it proceeds from God, secondly it has the ability to make you rich not just once but continuously, and lastly and probably the most important for me, it is void of any form of sorrow whatsoever. Only the blessing that comes from God has these attributes.

18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deut. 8: 18.

The last two quoted scriptures tells us that riches and wealth are a product of the blessing and power respectively. These two are not the prime gift God has for us. It is God that blesses; the same God gives the power. What then is this blessing and power?

The blessing and the power talked about is nothing but the presence and ability of the Holy Spirit in us and through us. Blessing spans beyond what we can see and touch, it is not physically concrete necessarily, but its proof and products are.

Let me give you a personified example of the blessing: “29 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.30 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.” Mark 1: 29- 34

Permit a little diversion here, for those who uphold the belief that Apostle Peter was never married, deal with this.

From the above scripture, this is a personified example of what a being a blessing is, ‘Anything Money Can Buy Is Cheap’, money cannot buy the blessing, “20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.” Acts 8: 20.

Blessing 6

Kindly follow the proceeding progression:

16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Gal. 1: 16.

One of the promises include being made a blessing, this means Christ was the blessing to humanity while He walked this earth, the things He did (healing the sick, casting out devils, preaching the good news to the poor and lots more) were all things money could not buy; these are substances of eternal worth and value, not ephemeral and mundane, they reach forth deep into the spirit and cause a fountain of joy to burst forth, that is what being a blessing entails.

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” John 12: 24.

Christ died and by His death; laying down His life for us, that we may live our lives for Him and continue what He had started on the earth, doing kingdom business (healing the sick, casting out devils and preaching the gospel of the kingdom).

This implies that we are supposed or rather we are intended to be walking blessings on the earth, mobile portals by which the good will of the father will be enjoyed by all. “29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Gal. 1: 29.

Description of what would follow us by default as mobile blessing portals and channels.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. ” Mark 16: 17- 18

Jesus was about exiting the earth and needed inform His extensions on what was expected of them as kingdom men; to be a walking blessing to humanity and the earth as a whole; cast out demons and heal the sick, you will agree with me that no amount of money can cast out a demon or heal a sick person. Only the blessing can even as it sustains the capacity to revive, rejuvenate and give life.

48 And ye are witnesses of these things.49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24: 48- 49.

Waiting to be equipped and be a made a blessing before they can be a blessing to others, before you can be a dispenser, you must be the personification of what you are dispensing. They were endued with the Holy Spirit, by which they could be able to do the kingdom business; being a blessing to humanity and the earth as a whole.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1: 8

Reassurance of who was initially promised to come, witnessing is never without the manifested power of the Holy Spirit.

“1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” Acts 2: 1- 4

At the right time by the divine ordination of heaven, the promise and empowerment came, ‘The Blessing’.

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:” Acts 2: 14

Straightaway Peter preached and record has it that 3000 people (probably excluding women and children) were added. Material things couldn’t have been the propelling force, but something of eternal worth, essence and value. These men couldn’t have been broke, otherwise travelling from whatever part of the world they came from to come and worship in Jerusalem couldn’t have been possible.

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called  beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ancle bones received strength. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.” Acts 3: 1- 8

Furthermore were healing and many more signs and wonders following them. This is the true blessing: working by the Holyspirit and giving to men things of eternal worth, essence and value, what money cannot buy neither can the devil give.

Remember that: “19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” Rom. 8: 19- 22.

You may ask, is this all there is to the blessing? Well, there is still one more thing,

Like I said, the kingdom is all encompassing, once it advances and there is progress, you who herald the kingdom on your shoulder and with your life are not left out

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Josh. 1: 8

18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deut. 8: 18.

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4: 6.

Knowledge spans beyond being acquainted with information, it reaches to having deep insight and understanding on the working principles, dynamics and the workability of a phenomenon. Irrespective of what we desire in life, its meat-and-potatoes are all embedded in scripture; and like I earlier on said, the Holy Spirit who is the greatest asset God has given to the church. Spirits are known predominantly by two things, the territories they lord over (prince or Persia, Ephesus e.t.c.) and their most predominant character (spirit of Love, anger. e.t.c.)

To be continued in my subsequent release.

Cheers.
