sergey-zolkin-5613-unsplashContinued from my last piece “What is man? (I)”; since man was created in the image of God 1: 27, and he was formed 2: 7, we would not be wrong to say that man too is a god. This is supported by scripture:

1 …………God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.  2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. 3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.  4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked. 5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. 7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.” Psalm 82.

God designed that as there is a God in heaven, let there also be a god on the earth, that was why we had to be created in His image and He took out time to form us, although He could have spoken us into being, but He choose otherwise. See what he said about us; “14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” we are heirs of salvation and are meant to be ministered unto by angels; “………thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:  8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him…………” Heb. 2: 7- 8.

Long before man fell in Gen. 3, God who sets out from the end of a thing already made plans, little wonder the bible says worthy is the lamb that was slain before the foundation of the earthy was laid, God restored man by sending Jesus to pay the price by dying on the cross of cavalry, meeting the demands of divine justice, thereby restoring us back to God and giving us a better life in Him.

Consequently, we are now sons of God, sons are literal extensions and projections, they are replicas and protégés: “12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John. 1: 12

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” Gal. 4: 7

Scripture tells us that we are no longer servants but now sons.

We are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, meaning that what is God’s is ours and we share same right as Christ because He has raised us up and seated us with Him in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers.

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” Eph. 1: 20- 23

This is Christ’s reality.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)  6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Eph. 2: 4- 6.

This is our reality in Christ; this is what man is before the eyes of God.

Man’s Worth Before His Maker.

Jesus while walked this earth sometimes spoke in parable and these two particularly buttresses my point.

1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. 2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. 3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying, 4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. 8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?  9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. 10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. ” Luke 15: 1- 10

The fathers loving heart makes Him able to go all out with all that He’s got, just to reach out to us. This king indeed rules from His heart. “Is Obedience an Imperative and Prerequisite Demand? (I)”

If our father will go all out for a lost sheep and a lost coin, how much more would He do for you and I who are within the fold?

This tells us how precious we all are individually in the eyes of God.

This is because of what man is.

Listen to this; “15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.  16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”Isa. 49: 15

What a love!

I wrote in my recent piece “Is There a Cause to My Existence and Life?(I)” that no one is a biological accident, No One. There might be abuses of purposes and lots more but no one is an accident or born to just exist and waste precious oxygen and scarce and limited resources.

There is more than enough love for us all in God.

Because of what we are in God and to Him is the reason He bestows us with so much: we are the apex of His creation, He gave us the ability to think and will to freely do as we please not minding the repercussion, we have dominion, we are spirit soul and body, created and fashioned for specific purposes, we are the objects of His mercy; His objects of admiration, our life does not end in death, rather death is the path to true life, all these and so much more have been made freely available because we are Him.

What is man?

Man is god (an intricate yet dispensable part of God).

Man is a literal projection and extension of God upon the earth.

Man is God’s best expression of beauty and perfection.

Man is God’s chosen habitual residence.

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” 1 Cor. 6: 19.

I will crown this up with a chapter of scripture and lay emphasis on a few verses; although this chapter talks about Christ, it sustains a little perspective on man, the saved and redeemed man who is now in Christ.

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.  7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.  9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Heb. 1

Shalom.
