In continuation of my previous write-up “Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God (I)”, I will continue as with my exoneration below:

The Essence of God

  1. God is love.

Often times, believers are quiet conversant with these words; “God is a loving God”. While this is true, however there are truths and there are higher truths. The law of Moses says, anyone who sleeps with another man’s wife has committed adultery with her. Now, while this is true, there is also a higher truth which says, looking at a woman lustfully lying is already adultery.

Revelation is Progressive.

While it is true that God is a loving God, our revelation of God’s love must go beyond that. Love is not an attribute our God possesses, rather, it is himself personified. He is the epitome of what love is, and anything short of Him isn’t and cannot be love. God’s essence and person defines love in all its shapes and forms. God is love; this is truth. True and genuine love disciplines, reproofs, correct and commend. True love will gladly let you undergo process, both pleasant and unpleasant as long as a better product will yield; the process is far worth the product.

  1. God is life.

Some believers do not believe in the oneness of God and his word. This however is what the word of God says.        “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men (John 1: 1-4).

It is most explicit that there is no difference between God and his word necessarily. Also, observe, ………In him was life; and the life was the light of men”………. This means life wasn’t something that made him, rather, he is life; it is embedded in him. God is alive, He lives, and more importantly, he is life. See the words of Jesus       …….. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 11: 25.

  1. God is All In All.

The revelations of God are so wide for any single man to fully encapsulate. As we advance in knowledge; we end up knowing more and more about less and less. Every time God unveils himself to any man, the dimension and facet he shows is often what he is named or called. In Gen. 22: 14, the name ‘JehovahJireh’ was mentioned courtesy of the dimension of God that was revealed to Abraham. In Exodus 3: 14, the name given was “I AM THAT I AM”, meaning the self existent God, one without genealogy.

  1. God Is Strength Personified.

Just as earlier on said, G.O.D means Greatest Order of Divinity, this was coined out and used for the various names of Yahweh in the bible, which in Hebrew language is “EL” and it means strength. This means he does not possess strength, rather, he is strength personified. Gen. 14: 19; using Strong number 410. So many other scriptures exist where God was referred to as “EL”.

From these exonerations, God is Love, Life and Existence Itself and Strength personified.

What does it mean to see God?

To see means to notice or become aware of (someone or something) by using the eyes; to have the ability to see: to have the power of sight; to become aware of something. Synonyms may include: behold, catch, spot, observe, perceive amongst others.

It is important to note again that truth is not a statement of fact, but the substance of a reality;

Collating the two, seeing God will ergo mean to notice, feel, become aware of and knowing love, life, existence, and power. The visible, manifested and tangible influence and supplement of God in any and everything that pertains to us in an undeniable way. This is what it means to see God.

In summary, it means to be helped; to receive assistance from God; for Grace to supplement one’s effort.

The help of man is good, but the bible says it’s vain; meaning no one can amount to anything leaning only on the supplies of the flesh.

Man will surely fail not because he wants to necessarily, but because it is his nature inherently to do so; therefore the bible forewarns us saying, woe is he that puts his trust in man. The arm of flesh will fail; it is not by power, nor by might, but by the spirit of the Lord of Host.

If there must be an interception and an intervention of divinity, in such a way that it encompasses us on all sides, swallows our weakness, magnifies our strength, and gives us an expected end and most importantly showing forth the glory of God, then the criteria to be engulf in such a reality is purity.

Life by default is not fair, but it was occasioned so; so that we can glide on the advantage we have in God; the advantage of the possibility of seeing God.

What then is Purity?

Purity is the lack of dirty or harmful substances; lack of guilty thoughts; not mixed or contaminated in any way; having a smooth and clear sound that is not mixed with any other sound.

12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity1 Tim. 4: 12.

Purity in all aspects of our lifestyle is demanded. One of the ways our lives can be a standard and a reference point is if it upholds and exemplifies purity.

2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity1 Tim. 5: 2

Our everyday relationships must have purity as one of the foundational rudiments.

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah” Psalm 24: 3-6.

A pure heart is not a miscellaneous, rather, it is a Sine qua non.

These are very few out of the so many emphasis on purity all spelt out in scripture. So much emphasis on the subject of purity.

We build doctrines, lay down principles, imbibe ideologies, and develop creeds from rightly dividing the word of truth.

From intense study of God’s word, we can see the power of prayer and things that are accessible only as a result of prayer; “A Man Of Like Passion” I and II does good to that, as well as other exercises such as fasting, studying, meditation, giving, tithing, praise and many more. However, none of these can substitute the other; a balanced and very commensurate input of all these in proportions measured by the spirit per individual is what will yield optimum result. It is no doubt that the measure of fasting required of a believer by the Holy Spirit may vary from the measure required of another. This is same of study, prayer and other exercises stated, however, they must all be practiced. It is of great Joy to know that whatsoever the Holy Spirit lays demand of us to do, he always supply grace sufficiently and abundantly.

However, the subject of Purity is not in measure, for it is a prerequisite requirement to see God.

Believers must not wait to see God in heaven, His essence and Substance can be felt and known. The simple criterion he to keep and maintain a pure life, Spirit, Soul and Body.

There is grace abundant for this very task.

Let’s plunge in and see our maker.

That has been his desire for us; and that has been our sincere and uttermost need as creation.

Let’s be puritans; let’s see our God.
